SEO Specialist – Digital Agency (UK, Remote)
Prime Lion Digital is looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing digital agency team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on SEO experience who enjoys improving website visibility, increasing organic traffic, and helping businesses grow through strategic search engine optimisation.
You will work on a variety of projects across different industries, supporting websites ranging from local business sites to ecommerce and service-based platforms. The role combines technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content strategy, and performance analysis.
This is a flexible remote position available to candidates across the United Kingdom or professionals able to work within UK business hours.
Role Overview
As an SEO Specialist at Prime Lion Digital, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring SEO strategies for client websites. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, content writers, and project managers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into every stage of a project.
You will also analyse website performance, identify opportunities for growth, and help improve rankings, traffic, visibility, and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research for UK-based markets and industries
- Perform on-page SEO optimisation for client websites
- Carry out technical SEO audits and identify improvement opportunities
- Optimise website structure, metadata, headings, and internal linking
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and SEO performance
- Create SEO strategies for new and existing projects
- Support content planning and optimisation
- Collaborate with developers to resolve technical SEO issues
- Implement local SEO strategies and Google Business Profile optimisation
- Analyse competitors and identify ranking opportunities
- Prepare SEO reports and recommendations for internal teams and clients
Requirements
- Experience working in SEO, digital marketing, or agency environment
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and technical SEO fundamentals
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Screaming Frog
- Knowledge of keyword research and content optimisation processes
- Understanding of website structure, indexing, crawling, and Core Web Vitals
- Ability to analyse SEO data and identify growth opportunities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously
- Fluent English communication skills
- Available to work within UK business hours

- Experience with WordPress, Shopify or Drupal websites
- Understanding of local SEO and Google Maps optimisation
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS or website development
- Experience working with backlink strategies and outreach
